Diagnose and Treatment of Deep Eye Socket

Are you aware that the skin around your eyes is fragile and delicate? The skin around the eyes might become hollow and sunken due to several factors. “Sunken eyes” are often called “eye bags,” and shadowy circles frequently accompany them under the eyes.

While bags under the eyes aren’t always a reason for alarm, nobody likes how they make them seem. But what triggers the deep eye socket (ตาโบ๋, which is the term in Thai) and can you do anything to cure it?

The following section will discuss what causes sunken eyes and their remedies.

Causes Of Sunken Eyes

There are numerous potential reasons for hollow eyes.

Facial fat and bone density are two areas that naturally decrease with age. Collagen breakdown causes skin thinning and transparency. The area around the eyes may become more hollow.

Sudden Weight Loss

Losing a large amount of weight causes fat loss across the entire body, including the face. The blood vessels around your eyes may become more translucent if you lose a lot of facial fat.

Your DNA structure also determines your eye’s placement in its socket. There may be little you can do about your sunken or black eyes if they run in your family.

Sleep Deprivation

Insufficient sleep or poor sleep quality is a widespread issue. The effects of chronic sleep deprivation on physical appearance are well-documented.

Sunken eyes are a common symptom of dehydration, especially in children. A dry mouth, poor urine, and extreme thirst are further signs of dehydration.

Direct Contact With Sunlight

When you are out in the sun, our bodies make melanin ( a pigment that darkens our skin). Sun exposure can further darken the skin under the eyes if you have naturally dark skin. Dark circles under the eyes can make them appear hollow because they resemble shadows.

Treatment For Hollow Eye Socket

If you have sunken eyes because of age or heredity, consider getting cosmetic surgery or dermal fillers.

Dermal fillers typically inject hyaluronic acid into the delicate skin below the eyes. The medical term for correcting the appearance of both the upper and lower eyelids is blepharoplasty. Excess tissue under the eyes, responsible for the hollowed appearance, can be removed during this treatment.

Ways to Prevent Deep Eye Socket

Here are some precautions to take if you don’t have this problem:

  • Get enough rest.
  • Consume sufficient quantities of water.
  • Use sunglasses and sun’s scream before going out
  • Quit smoking if you care about your appearance
